enabling them to live more independently,
extending their rights to control and direct their own lives and
empowering them to live more productive lives.
To this end,
we do not do things for the persons with disabilities;
we enable them to do for themselves.
All persons within our service area of Butler, Wayne, Carter and Ripley counties, regardless of disability, are eligible to receive our services. There is NO COST and no risk of losing any benefits as a result (i.e. Social Security, Disability Income, Medicaid, VA benefits, SSI.) ALL consumer information is confidential.
Call or come by the Independent Living Center and make an Intake appointment. During your Intake appointment, an Independent Living Specialist will interview you and assist you in developing an Independent Living Plan. We will then offer methods and steps to achieve those goals will be put into place.
